The Bob Hope Humanitarian Award based in 2002, has found its owner for this year. During the gorgeous television night of 2010 Primetime Emmy the award for outstanding progress in humanitarian efforts and charity will be given to a Hollywood star George Clooney.
The Academy of Television Arts and Sciences acknowledges the Oscar-winning actor for the "Hope for Haiti" telethon, which is also Emmy-nominated. Also Clooney’s time and finances are set to raising funds for relief and recovery efforts following Hurricane Katrina. That is not all, the celebrity also dedicates himself to spread awareness of genocide in Darfur.
Clooney’s awarding is expected for Primetime Emmy night hosted by Jimmy Fallon, which will air live from Los Angeles' Nokia Theater on August 29 on NBC. Before George, the same award was given to Oprah Winfrey, Bill Cosby, and Danny Thomas.
