Catfights have always been a sure shot way to attract attention. Many celebrities are known to indulge in this art time and again. True to the digital age, catfights have gone online as well. The latest in this series is the Twitter war between Rihanna and Ciara Beef.
For a while, the two celebs went on to use the most amusing ways of insulting each other but it all ended well with the two apparently ready to forget and forgive.
Rihanna began this virtual war by posting that she indeed had been rude to Ciara, whom she referred to as ‘My bad Ciara’. The sarcastic tone of the tweet was an answer to the allegation by the latter that the singing sensation had snubbed her during a recent award ceremony.
Not one to remain silent when under attack, Ciara replied by saying that Rihanna would not want to encounter her, whether on stage or off it. Rihanna didn’t seem to take this warning too seriously as she retorted by asking whether Ciara had gone gangsta. Rihanna went on to declare that her blessings were with Ciara if she were to find the stage she mentioned.
While the whole Twitterdom went abuzz with the ensuing war of words between the two singers, better sense prevailed over them both and they decided to put the fight off. Rihanna, who was the one to begin the virtual fight, was also the one to douse the fire.
The ‘A Girl Like Me’ hitmaker told her ‘friend’ that she was deeply hurt after hearing about the alleged snubbing and the tweets were written in a state of anger and hurt. She went on to apologise for the comments before suggesting that the two should make up. Clinching on to this extended olive branch, the ‘Goodies’ singer accepted the apology before asking her friend to speak to her in the real world.
