Instead of the most anticipated device of the year - iPhone5, Apple CEO Tim Cook introduced new version of iPhone 4. It was his first launch presentation on a new position. It was followed with controversial reviews. The BBC News called his debut "dull" and The San Francisco Chronicle wrote he "hasn't yet shown he can match his predecessor's skills at product design and marketing."
Still, he did it in his own way, which has a little common with enthusiastic and joyful presentations by Jobs we got used to. Introducing the product in Apple headquarters, Cook jokingly said it will be no iPhone 5 that day. The new device looks exactly like its previous version.
Cook noted that the main innovations are hidden inside the device: it has 8 megapixel camera with full high definition video and its CPU is 7 times faster than in iPhone 4. The Siri function, which gives an opportunity of voice control, was added. The battery is promising 7 hours of work in talk mode and you may watch video for 10 hours non-stop.
Though the investors are not enthusiastic with a premiere, five models of iPhone still control 28% of the market. Apple has no need to hurry.
