On July, 31 Los Angeles Area Emmy Awards 2010 will honor main achievements of cable and television stations that refer to LA only. The annual ceremony will gather LA celebrities for the 62nd time in North Hollywood at the Leonard H. Goldenson Theatre.

The main nominations in which the contestants will be awarded are the follows: Crime/Social Issues, Arts and Culture/History, Entertainment Programming, Sports Special, Live Special Events (News and Programming), Serious and Light News, Outstanding News Director, Writer and Editor.

On August, 29, the Primetime Emmy will compel everyone’s attention to the Primetime Emmy Awards. According emmys.com, the nominations are the follows: Outstanding Animated Program represented by The Simpsons, South Park, The Ricky Gervais Show and Disney Prep & Landing.

Outstanding Commercial for which Absolut’s Anthem, Coca-Cola’s Coke Finals, Audi and Nike will contest. The outstanding lead actor in a comedy Series is represented by Larry David (Curb Your Enthusiasm), Tony Shalhoub, as Adrian Monk (Monk), Steve Carell, as Michael Scott (The Office), Jim Parsons as Sheldon Cooper (The Big Bang Theory). For honoring in Outstanding Lead Actor In A Drama Series there will be a struggle between Bryan Cranston as Walter White (Breaking Bad), Michael C. Hall as Dexter Morgan (Dexter), Kyle Chandler as Eric Taylor (Friday Night Lights), Hugh Laurie as Dr. Gregory House (House), Matthew Fox as Jack Shephard (Lost), Jon Hamm as Don Draper (Mad Men).

Lead Actresses from Glee, The New Adventures Of Old Christine, Nurse Jackie, Parks And Recreation, 30 Rock and United States Of Tara will contest for Outstanding Lead Actress In A Comedy Series.

Outstanding Lead Actress In A Drama Series are represented by Kyra Sedgwick (The Closer), Glenn Close (Damages), Connie Britton (Friday Night Lights), Julianna Margulies (The Good Wife), Mariska Hargitay (Law & Order: Special Victims Unit), January Jones (Mad Men).

Among other nominations there are Supporting Actresses/Actors in Drama, Comedy Series, and Movie, and the special ones: Outstanding Hairstyling, Makeup and Title Design. The Outstanding Comedy Series will be chosen among Curb Your Enthusiasm ,Modern Family , Nurse Jackie, The Office and 30 Rock. And Outstanding Drama Series is represented by Breaking Bad, Dexter, The Good Wife, Lost, Mad Men, True Blood.
